Bullets on a GS1200

I have mounted the bullets on the hand-guards and run the wiring down to the lights. To get the power to the bullets I am going to take it from the two wires that go to the low beam headlight? This seems to be the best option and I hope that it means they will only come on when the engine is started like the headlight?
Can anyone see any problems with that? Hopefully this won't effect the canbus!

That sounds fine, another popular place to take feed is the side / parking light.

Which ever option you take CANBUS will remain unaffected
