Yamaha Dragstar 650 Installation

Roger kindly sent the below guide for fitting Bullets on his Dragstar 650 Custom. This bike was very limited with moutning points so he made some small brackets, very tidy job!



Thought this might be of use to other Dragstar owners and others.

I found that Carlsberg Export plus Stella Artois really helped the job go well.


1.   Used Brackets from B&Q. Straight or angled will do.

2.    Put a slight kink in cut bracket to enable wire to pass under. Drilled out one hole for mounting bolt.

3.    Rounded off rear edge and painted with Hammerite Silver.

4.    Fiber washer placed between bracket and indicator to protect chrome.

5.    Wired into sidelight with inline fuse.(Belt & Braces) and hidden inside headlamp shell.  Note the use of Carlsberg & Stella.

6.    Wiring tie tagged to existing indicator loom.

7.    Shows finished job.

8.     As 7.

9.     Daylight view.

10.   Night view.


A great product and easy to fit. Now considering a Modulator.
