Title: Resolved: Switch to Operate headlight ON/OFF
Post by: marshallman05 on June 11, 2010, 12:18:53 PM
Hi Guys, just purchased the side light bulbs from you today and am now wondering how I can install an ON/OFF switch to my dipped beam headlight so its not running all the time, only when I want it to.

A step by step guide would be super fantastic !

Cheers
Chris

Reducing your visibility to other road users isn't a good idea.

You may also have issues if involved in an accident if your factory fitted feature isn't operational.

Hi Chris

I'll echo that again, it's best to leave them running all the time. You could interupt with a switch but best not to

I hear what your saying but with my sidelights being alot brighter with the new bulbs and being on constantly aswell...visibility shouldnt be a problem

Will these be too bright at night without a switch to turn them off? That is my only concern

Hi

The LED sidelight bulbs are not too bright to be on all the time, in fact legally they must permanently lit to remain road legal. The added benefit of these is they consume 1/5th the power of a stock halogen bulb.
