This kind of fitting looks ideal to mount the Cree lights on 7/8 inch bars. It has a 10mm threaded socket.
Would it be OK to fit a single threaded 10mm bolt in the centre of the Cree flange so it can be bolted down?

Any other ideas welcome.

Looks like a good idea, the lights themselves are pretty light so you don't need anything heavy duty.

Keep me posted how it goes... a little DIY can turn a good installtion into a great one :)
