Technical Support / Switch to disable PodMod
« Last post by ronseal on November 17, 2016, 09:29:38 AM »
Hi,

Ive recently ordered the PodMod, along with Bullets v2 - I read its possible to add a switch to disable the PodMod, in your FAQs:

'Just wire up a simple switch between the- 'input ground' on the PodMod (grey wire)and- 'output ground' on the PodMod (black wire)When you connect these two together with the switch the Modulation is disabled, removing this connection restores Modulation'

Is it possible you could provide a diagram showing this physically. Apologies, Im not too electronically minded.

Regards

Hi and welcome

It's a tricky machine to upgrade due to limited electrical power available.

Check out the below...   The owner mounted a single one of our Cree lights, which would of doubled light output.

If you are interested in a single one of these lights, please mail me at sales@bikevis.com

Is there any BikeVis light which I could use on a YBR125 as the main headlight is about as useful as a candle :D

Installation Guides / Triumph Tiger 800 XRx Bullet installation.

Mike sent over a guide to fitting our Bullet lights on his Triumph Tiger 800 XRx. He also fitted our PodMod modulator. Many thanks.

Fit the lights on the top face of the two black inner side panels, below the headlight.
Remove the two screws on each panel so as to pull it back to enable cable routing.
Determine position and drill required hole upwards through plastic panel.
Find headlight relay under seat, It should be the left hand one on the front row.
Ease all relays out of there rubber holders for ease of getting at the wires on the underside of the relay socket.
It should be the second large wire in from the left that feeds the headlight.
Using an inline cable connector join an inline fuse holder to it.
I mounted the modulator under the cross bar below the seat.
Connect the modulator, fuse & earth locally under seat as wiring instructions.
I used a length of two core cable to feed the  + & -.forwards to the led Bullets. Just easier.
Finally diverting the cable into two feeding left and right LED's
