Winter commuting was getting interesting due to a 2 mile stretch of back roads with no street lighting, lots of pot holes and ever shifting mud thanks to the local farmers tractor.
I added 2 LED 10 degree lights and changed the standard buld to a Halogen 45/40w BA20D buld (fits straight into the stock headlight housing).
Visibilaty is totally transformed!!  ;D  I can ride happilly at 50 MPH and see what's coming.
Fitment was really easy.
The LEDs I attached to the front fender.
I used the 2 light wiring harness with the power relay. There is plenty space to fit the relay in between the fork and the headlight housing - I reused one of the bolts bonnecting the fender to the fender strut
Earth from relay and 2 light fit nicely onto the fender bolts (remove light, and then it is one bolts to fit)
The power is straight from the battery, again I just routed the wire to the battery and connected to existing nut (no neet to remove tank but removing front fairing helped with the routing)
The switch I have attatched to the front and linked into an independent (of the headlights) power source that comes on with the ignition - I can have LED's only or LED's + high or low)
The only change I made to the wiring harnes was to reduce the length of the relay to switch connector to remove extra lenth.
The whole process took about 30 mins (well once I'd figured out what wires on my bike were live).

Fluke

Hi

Thanks for sharing, lovely looking bike. The VisionX Solstice lights are the best on the market, though you do pay for that fact with price. They match the bike perfectly though and the results made it worthwhile by the sounds of it.

Any chance of seeing these on at night? looks good!

Hi

Each Solstice pod is brighter than a 55 Watt halogen main beam, so that is a lot of light.

If you have a search around the net you should be able to find a lot of info on them with videos etc.
