Cree v2
« on: July 30, 2014, 08:01:42 PM »
I have had a set of v2 Crees for a couple of years which I love but today I noticed they didn't turn off when I turned the bike off, I have them wired straight to the battery. I am presuming the control box has given up the ghost but could it be anything else? I am thinking worst case scenario I could wire a switch in to the live feed to cut off the feed from the battery?

Hi

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your lights. It does sound like the controller could be at fault (unless you have a brand new battery fitted which can 'confuse' them due to lack of voltage drop on switch off)

A switch like you say in the red control box wire would give a good solution.

I'm afraid we have not stocked these for a couple of years now and have no spares available.

Hi

Is it one of these new lithium batterys ?, the voltage change between on and off load is very small. A brand new battery could also cause same symptom.

I think you would need to fit that switch even as a temp measure.
