Hi

On my previous bike I had the Cree 2 fitted and used a OFF-ON-ON toggle switch to turn them on and the second position to switch on a rear fog lamp without turning off the DRLs. I also had tell tale LED in series to let me know they were on. I have jsut fitted the Cree 3 to my new bike and tried to do the same. However, the DRLs were flickering with the tell tale led in the circuit. Is there a way that I would have to wire in the tell tale so that it doesn't affect the DRLs?

Superb lights,

Hi and glad you like the v3 Cree units, they are very bright and super quality.

Rather than put your warning led in series it would need to be in parallel,

So bikes ground connected to Cree, fog and warning led grounds

Then positive feed to the pole of your switch

The first contact on switch for position 1 would be just the Cree positives and the warning indicator positive wires

The second contact on switch for position 2 would be Cree, warning indicator and fog positives wires

Just remember your warning indicator led when used like this must either have a built in current limiting resistor (some do), or have a external one in series or its a direct short circuit

I hope the above is what you want and makes sense, if not please get back
