Here are two pictures of my newly mounted Cree v3 running lights.  With the right female/male adapter, mounting low on the front forks was a breeze!  This is a 2004 model -- not sure if the the same setup would work on earlier models.


As others have said, the actual light is VERY MUCH brighter than a photo can capture.  If I can get a few years use out of these I will be delighted -- and not mention a bit richer for having found an alternative to motolights.
